Key Stage 2 English
Tuition will be offered for helping your child with their English Key Stage 2. They will receive training in reading comprehension and Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar. In particular, a grammar for writing approach will be used too, helping children to think about what words they will choose. The programme for reading comprehension will include developing skills for successfully passing the KS2 reading paper.
11+ Entrance Tests
For the 11+ entrance tests, the focus will be on:
- reading comprehension,
- spelling, punctuation and grammar,
- non-verbal reasoning
A) The Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar topics will be delivered over the following phases and sessions, as shown in the table below:
